Solon Jhee

Solon Jhee (ソロン・ジー) is a minor antagonist in Suikoden II. A member of a powerful noble family, Solon Jhee quickly rose through the military ranks and presided over several campaigns in the Dunan Unification War. However, after the Battle of North Window Castle, he earned the wrath of Luca Blight, who ordered Solon Jhee to be executed immediately.

Biography

Solon was a member of the Jhee family, a powerful noble family formerly within the Highland Kingdom. He quickly rose through the military ranks of the Highland Army due to his status. Once Luca Blight was gifted the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Highland Army, Solon Jhee was given command of the 4th Highland Army and led Highland's initial attacks against Jowston in 460.

Although he had some initial success against the unprepared Jowston forces (and even then was rebuffed twice before eventually victory, once at Viktor's fortress and again outside Muse), eventually taking South Window and ordering the beheading of Granmeyer despite his peaceful surrender, his lack of caution and hot-headedness often placed him in precarious situations.

Eventually, his luck ran out when he attacked the old castle at North Window. Having no experience with naval battles, Jhee did not factor in the possibility of being flanked. Of course, this is exactly what happened, with units led by Riou arriving by ship and almost surrounding Jhee before he retreated, causing many South Window troops under Highland control to change sides.

Following this disastrous defeat, Solon Jhee failed to pacify Luca Blight's anger and was ordered to be beheaded immediately.
