BiographyLucia was the daughter of the Karaya Clan Chief, Kianu, who was murdered when he arrived at a fake peace conference staged by Jowston officials Alec Wisemail of Greenhill and Gorudo of the Matilda Knights. The murder allowed the two regions to seize some Karayan land while expecting the ascension of Lucia to the position of Chief would only serve to further weaken the Karaya. However, Lucia proved to be a strong-willed and able leader, as well as an exceptional warrior. Filled with a desire for vengeance as well as a desire to reclaim lost Karayan territory, Lucia allied the Karaya Clan with the Highland Kingdom during the Dunan Unification War. During this time, she unsuccessfully tried to assassinate Riou, leader of the opposing Allied Army as well as serving in many battles alongside the Highland Army. Loyal to her allies, Lucia stayed at L'Renouille following the defeat of the Highland Army in an attempt to protect the King of Highland, Jowy Blight. Following her defeat at the palace, Lucia agreed to return to the Grassland, trusting in Teresa Wisemail's promise to investigate the murder of her father. As the truth was revealed, her attitude towards Greenhill softened and she became a friend of the Dunan Republic. Soon after returning home, Lucia gave birth to a son, Hugo, who was fathered by an unknown person while she was serving in Dunan. Battling with the forces of Tinto, she built a bond with Jordi, eventually asking him to train Hugo as a warrior. As clan chief, Lucia also developed a close bond with Dupa of the Lizard Clan, thus ensuring close ties between the Karaya, Duck, and Lizard clans. The strength of the bond between the three clans led Lucia to attack the Zexen Knights after the assassination of Lizard Clan Chief Zepon by what appeared to be Zexen officers at the time. This course of action led to the razing of the Karaya village, forcing the clan to flee to the Lizard Clan's Great Hollow. There, Lucia and Dupa led a joint attack on the Zexen village of Iksay, causing moderate damage before being forced to retreat. The war with Zexen came to an abrupt end, however, following the Harmonian invasion of the region. At first unwilling to ally with the Zexen Confederacy due to past disputes and mistrust built over previous misunderstandings, Lucia relented; the soldiers of the Karaya, Duck, and Lizard Clans were all brought together under the banner of the Fire Bringer. In the Fire Bringer, Lucia served as a prominent officer, offering advice as well as helping with the operations of the army. Following the end of the Second Fire Bringer War, Lucia stepped down from her position as clan chief, deciding to travel to the Dunan Republic, helping to secure the future of the Karaya.
