Edgar (エドガー) is a supporting character in Suikoden Tactics. A famous pirate known as the Pirate King who worked with his lover Kika and best friend Brandeau, Edgar was killed during an attack on the pirate Steele's ship; Kika currently leads his crew.

Biography

Known throughout the Island Nations as the 'Pirate King', Edgar pillaged the seas along with his lover, Kika, and his friend Brandeau. Edgar gained a less infamous reputation that of the pirate Steele due to his more humane nature. In fact, Edgar and Steele formed an intense rivalry which peaked during an attack on Steele's vessel; Edgar sought to bring down the pirate once and for all. Allying with Walter and his friends, the group boarded Steele's ship where they fought Steele and his pirates before defeating them in battle.

Defeated, Steele used his Rune of Punishment and killed Edgar instantly. The rune passed onto his best friend, Brandeau, who shortly left the group. As he was unable to face Kika over Edgar's death, Brandeau and his servant Peck sent the coffin to Kika, draped in Edgar's cape.

Trivia

• The pattern on Edgar's cape is the same pattern as the tattoo on Kika's back.
